That discounting is typical when a product is being upgraded/replaced to a new version. I still see that product listed as "current" on the Peavey site but then they are not going say it is being replaced by a newer version.

They are making a new version and it's being beta tested as we speak; but that's a great fully matured version as it is. It should also give you an upgrade path. That's a massive steal at that price.

Thanks for the heads up Rain. Picked it up this morning. I always wanted to try this and at this price, it's a no brainer.

I ordered the reduced price software (and its on the way as I got shipping notice). I got in before it sold out. I e-mailed a Peavey customer service contact I have about the software and he referred a question I had about the software "to the moderator who is out of the country". Apparently there is no support for that product at Peavey HQ (Meridian, MS). I don't know how long it will be before I get a response (if I get a response) but that was yesterday and I haven't heard from the moderator.

Hahaha! This forum has cost me thousands of dollars! I'm about to impose a one year moratorium on plugins for myself. I only have 240 though compared to bapu's 1730. I'm looking forward to getting my Revalver in the mail. I guess it will be a download code.

As it turns out the update will not activate. The activation fails as it requires a serial number that begins with either 0006 or 0007. My serial number starts with 0010. I sent a report to the Peavey Revalver support on the problem.

Thanks for the update Fireberd. I started messing aroung with Revalver and wasn't impressed, something didn't sound right. Long story short I started checking plugin properties between TH2 and Peavey Revalver. What I found was Peavey Revalver wasn't "configured as tempo based effect". When I checked that box in the plugin properties, all was good. Now I'm diggin' it. BC

Hmmm...I'll have to check that (configured as a tempo based effect thingy). I didn't want to say anything this early, but so far I'm not impressed at all.

That was my feeling right off the bat. I couldn't get a good stereo sound and was not impressed with the cabs. I do have quite a few Redwirez impulses I use for TH2. The IR's I imported did make a difference. But the Tempo based configuration really did the trick. I still need to play with it a little more. On the positive side, I do have to say their Classic 30 model is spot on. I own that amp and it's damn close if not better. I used a Weber speaker box impulse from Redwirez and it's pretty good sounding so far. BC

Oh, one more thing. Revalver has that VST module to import another vst effect plugin you have in your library into revalver. Great idea. I tried using Nomad Factory Oilcan echo and crash! It's tied to sonar.

I figured out my setup.... So far I'm loving it....My electric is in the shop right now, but I'm playing a Johnson JO-26 acoustic guitar that I set up with a Martin Thinline gold plus pickup.. and running it from my computer to my Palomino V3212 amp. I am getting some killer stuff on the cleans for the acoustic. Even some of the bluesy settings are flipping bliss....for thirty bucks I'm in heaven! Question...it this license only good for one computer? Also my copy only came with the disc...did anybody get the manual...I know a downloadable one is available but I like a hard copy.
