Gravity (the movie)
I finally got to see Gravity in IMAX-3D. I've been waiting for the free time to do so since it came out. What a beautifully filmed movie. Stunning and suspenseful. For the purest out there, there are some laws of space that are apparently broken according to some movie info I've read, but I am fine with that. I just wanted a good action movie to sit back and enjoy and marvel at the special effects. If you like sci-fI, I would be curious if you did not like it.
NOTE: From what I have read, they did not use the 'vomit comet' for filming this movie as they did with "Apollo 13". Two main reasons were they wanted longer shots (the reduced gravity aircraft only affords about 30-seconds at a time), and Sandra Bullock is afraid of flying. So they achieved the affects using other techniques. Sure looked great IMO.

Sounds great! Can't wait to see it! It'll be the first movie I see with proper Dolby Athmos surround. I read an interview with the sound designers and it looked really interesting. I can't find it again now...

funny you mention that movie we just received a bit torrent complaint from the Warner Bros Abuse department about a student on campus. we have a filter but every once in a while one figures a way to slip through..
we are pursuing it now

Great movie!...I saw it twice in one weekend. We didn't watch the 3d version though. I hate those glasses and everything looks fake to me in 3d. I have heard that this movie in 3d is something to see. Maybe I'll go again.

If you do end up seeing it in 3D, it would be interesting to hear your opinion on how much the 3D adds (or possibly subtracts) from your experience. As I did see it in 3D, I don't feel it looked fakey at all.

I saw it this last Sunday. Not in 3D but super hi definition mode. For every action there is a reaction. No doubt about that!
A must see if you are into space.
