Hmmm... had an idea... Noise Reduction comparisons (contest?)
After reading a few different threads on things, particularly the one about editing audio files (
http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2912791 ) it occurred to me that Gobbler "collaboration" might have an interesting use....
Especially since the topic of "cleaning up audio" has been thrown in lately...there are SO many tools on the streets (Audacity, RX3, Audition, etc.)... and for many of us, these are foreign and we can only take other's opinions of "effectiveness."
As Gobbler is new as well, it would also be a neat way to try out sharing things; but not sure if this is feasible (perhaps SoundCloud is better, unsure).
Anyway... here is the idea...
1) Have a "dirty" audio sample (should be short, like a minute or so) that all would have access too (Gobbler? SoundCloud?).
2) Then folks who
own these products could do the noise reduction so that others can see "here to there" by product.
3) Upload these so they are all lined out (original, Audacity, Audition, RX3, etc.) so folks without the tools could see the results "side by side" so to speak.
I have not used Gobbler yet, and perhaps SoundCloud is a better option.
Any thoughts?
