[Solved] Why don't my song wav files load at the Start of the song?

When I load some wav files I expect the files to load at the beginning Start 00:00 of the Track, but they load 5 -10 minutes into the Track.

Why does it do this, and how can I shift the wav files to the 00:00 Start point to play back at the beginning when I press play?

In preferences-file-audio data, try unchecking 'always import broadcast waves at their timestamp'
Then try importing one again.

yup, listen to the man above my post.
every once in awhile you'll find a few files that will do this no matter what.
its because of the files make up.

And when the bad files do load up in the middle of a song, how do you shift them to the Start of the song, other than dragging them manually which can take a long time waiting for the drag to move at a snail's pace to 00:00 ?

No, don't cut and paste.
Assuming you are using an X-series version, you can highlight the clips in question, open the Inspector (that's 'I' on your keyboard), go to the 'clip' tab, select the time in the 'Start' box (may also say 'Multi' if the clips are located at different measures) , and enter the measure you wish to start at (or zero).
This reads a lot more complicated than it is.

EDIT: If you want ALL clips to start at a specific point, just select them all (CTRL-A)- even if they are already at the start point- and viola, instant start time line up.

Undo - uncheck the import broadcast waves at their timestamp option - Redo

I had this same issue and did what Wizard suggested. Worked like a charm!
