X3 Comping Video - I can't reproduce the workflow

The improvements in X3 for Lanes and comping are exactly what I've been waiting for.
I do a lot of full band multi-room recordings and it's been really difficult to quickly edit the multitude of tracks and lanes without running into inadvertent results.

Then I watched the X3 Comping video and wow, looks great.

But when I use my up/down arrows to review a previous/next lane or left/right to move to the next section the cursor moves to the next control of the track (like it's always done).

What am I doing wrong?

Steven

Did you use ctrl+space to start playback?

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Yes.  And I am using the arrow keys just to the right of the right shift key and not those on the 10-key since num lock is on so they can be used for nudge.

Solution/FYI - if you have a lane in between that doesn't have audio in the area you are auditioning the arrows are ignored.

    Lane 1 XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX
    Lane 2                        XXXXXX
    Lane 3 XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX

I was auditioning Lane 1, first section
When I deleted Lane 2, down arrow took me to the first section of Lane 3 as expected.

I guess clicking the clip segment would still work?

    Wasn't it shift+spacebar?
