Best Driver For 2496 Card?

I've been using Asio drivers in Producer 8.5, with my 2496 card. no problems except certain instruments (bass) cause sonar to crash. am wondering if using WDM driver might help?
 
East West SO Gold, GPO, Vienna Special Ed 1
AMD dual core 3GHz, 8 GB Ram
internal 500 WD Blue, external 500 glyph

    Do you mean the Echo Layla 24/96? If so. http://echoaudio.com/pages/windows-drivers The driver has both ASIO and WDM in it (I think)

    Sorry, I should have been more specific. I mean the M-Audio 2496.

    ASIO works best with Sonar 7 if I recall. I presume same for 8.5 which I skipped and went to X1
