Melodyne Q's, just to be sure.

So, any clip automation (gain, say) is incorporated into the bounce when finishing a Melodyne edit? That seems to be the case with what I've used so far.

And, it's just "Bounce to Clip" to render the Melodyne edit? The otherwise great vid on CakeTV doesn't mention that part of the workflow.

My only experience is with Melodyne Studio (which runs in its own process) but my assumption would be that the integrated version (like Studio) works just like V-Vocal in terms of printing the edit via a simple bounce. Clip automation would be included in the bounce but track automation would not.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Clip automation is already "bounced" as soon as an RFX region is created, e.g. when a Melodyne or VVocal RFX is created. There is no further opportunity to add new or adjust existing clip automation. I.e. clip automation does not work on "top" of an RFX, and the underlying envelopes are no longer seen. In other words, there is a hidden bounce that incorporates any existing clip automation and produces the audio presented to the RFX for editing. Your explicit bounce afterwards can then incorporate the RFX edits. I didn't try bouncing the RFX and then adding another layer of automation. Here's a related thread.

To be honest I find the Melodyne amplitude editing a lot more convenient than a simple clip gain envelope. I suppose it depends on application though, and it only comes with the upgraded version.
