What to do with Ver. 8.5 Install
So, ver. 8.5 is SO screwed up, I can't even record a MIDI Pitch Wheel event. It hesitates, etc. It AIN'T my keyboard, cuz it works fine in Local Mode, and I've already re-installed it's OS. Plus, I re-installed 8.5 after cleaning the old install COMPLETELY off, and I'm still getting bogus sample rates, as opposed to the other DAWs that are working fine. So, I'm going to give X3 Studio a try. Now, do I completely uninstall ver 8.5 again; i.e. cleaning the Registry, and all folders? If so, anyone have any particular detailed instructions?

This thread is a similar topic. You do not need to uninstall older versions, they all run stand alone. Helpful tips for install: Disable any anti-virus prior to the install Run the install as administrator

Is your signature correct? You're running with TWO Gb of RAM? That's barely enough for Windows, let alone a basic Sonar project. I'd look at increasing your RAM before you do anything else

King Conga So, ver. 8.5 is SO screwed up, I can't even record a MIDI Pitch Wheel event.
Before installing anything I would want to see about why 8.5 ain't working. That's a known stable version of Sonar and if you can't record Midi data, I'm guessing some settings aren't right. King Conga Plus, I re-installed 8.5 after cleaning the old install COMPLETELY off, and I'm still getting bogus sample rates, as opposed to the other DAWs that are working fine.
What do you mean by "bogus sample rates?" Is Sonar reporting the wrong sample rate for a project? Is it not reading your sample rate from you audio interface? Can you record Midi pitch bend with the other DAWS? Do they stutter, hesitate? King Conga Now, do I completely uninstall ver 8.5 again; i.e. cleaning the Registry, and all folders? If so, anyone have any particular detailed instructions?
No you don't have to do all that. But if 8.5 ain't working, you may not have much success with X3 for the same reasons 8.5 is giving you trouble.
