Quick MIDI Playback question

In past versions of Producer I was able to play back my MIDI (piano in this case) and hear it, while I was recording an additional midi piano on the same track. I can no longer hear the original. It doesn't overwrite it, I'm just not hearing on playback (as a cue track).

I'm sure this is a simple setting, but I am at a loss to find it. Can someone give me a quick answer.

Thanks in advance...

Michael

It's probably the record mode. X3 defaults to the new comping record mode, where it past versions the default was Sound On Sound. If you change it, then recording should behave as before.
