Midi notes staying on (maybe a bug but fixed)

Hi everyone!
 
I am working on a vocal line. At the beginning of the song everything works fine. Near the end though it plays the melody but the notes don't stop playing and I end up with a jumble of notes all at once. I tried buffer sizes and no go there. I'll look some more but I don't understand why this is happening.
 
I have 10 softsynths. It only does it on the 10th one. DP with a vocal ah. I tried changing patches and it doesn't stop.

I thought about what was going on. I had copied a track that had the melody for it. All I had to do was make a few modifications here and there and it would be fine. The track I copied the melody from had a pedal event in it. On/off at one spot. I only needed a few bars of the melody so I copied just those few bars.
 
I placed those few bars throughout the project's timeline. The weird part was that in the event list, there were no control events. Just the notes. To fix it I placed a pedal event before the problem occurred and it fixed it.
 
Somehow an event was copied even though it does not show up in the event list. There were only two pedal events, at the same spot, in the project. One of which was on a track I copied the melody from a section before it ever took place. Weird.
