Linear Fade in Clip error X3c

Sometimes, randomly, if I split an audio clip and then do a linear fade in on the first part of the split clip it mutes the clip rather than fading it, I then have to restart Sonar to get this to work.
 
Its been going on since X2.
 
Anyone else?

    5 times today it has done this.
     
    5 restarts and problem resolved by a restart....Its not good for sound designers as I am ALWAYS using linear fades in transitions between sounds in a micro of scenes.

    IIRC this was a problem with Sandy Bridge-based processors back in X1. I thought it was fixed pretty promptly with one of the patches. Maybe it's back?
