I think having different

forums just really doesn't matter right now so I'm going to ask here.

I've been messing with AD drums and thought I'd jump on that % off because
I do like them.
What I prefer is the way EZdrummer has the files.

I've never messed with "drum maps" but I'm thinking that with one I could
drag files from EZ into an AD drum track and they would work...?....and it
would also work the other way...dragging an AD pattern into EZ ...?.

Please instruct me how to do such a thing.

Yes you would need a EZ2AD and AD2EZ map as the layouts of the kit pieces are quite a bit different.

I do not do it yet because there is a serious flaw in drum maps when you use multiple outs. I've written it up numerous times but it has yet to be fixed.

Here's a quick video on the flaw: http://s788.photobucket.com/user/Asparapuss/media/Cakewalk%20Related/DrumMap-SoloBug_zps7c39e433.mp4.html

    Thanks Bapu. I agree Jan.

Bapu then is right that there are no flaws if used as simple instruments?
With both having mixers it may alright for me.

Does one need maps if both are inserted as simple instruments?
Not at home to find out on my own and curious.

When editing MIDI notes in PRV a map is helpful to see the kit name on the PRV vertical keyboard.

I wish they'd fix it then.
Standards would be a good thing.

Slated for X3e or X3-Ed as they call that version internally.

    We shouldn't need maps.
I can see us needing Ed.
