Help saving X3 Prod for X3 non-prod user...

Hi all!!

I've got a friend who does not have the Producer Edition. I want to share the mix as best I can.

Should I export to OMF?

What do you say??

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I've had this problem with students

You can freeze/bounce down tracks that use FX or Synths that they don't have (and leave others as they are), but  if there are too many bounced audio tracks then the file sizes can become pretty big.

    Thanks, JB!

The symptom was that I thought he could not open the file at all (no automation or anything)...

I had used Gobbler to transfer the data to him.

Some how he had failed to properly unzip the file and lots of the waves (and the cwp) were 0 bytes. Consequently when you opened it, it looked like you couldn't open the file.

I just copied the files to his computer and he was able to open them with all the automation (minus the FX).

That's all I wanted. I'm not sure how you fail to properly unzip a file. Is it possible he tried unzipping it before he finished downloading it??

    We'll never know.

    Best,

    G
