Forumite signatures

It's interesting and often very useful to know what people's hard-/firm- and software setups are... what's under the hood, as it were... when trying to figure out what's going with a particular problem or "feature".
Also, to have access to blogs and other sources that the poster would like to provide links to for interest etc. And graphics... whatever posters' signatures contain... it's all good.
However, some signatures use a lot of vertical space and can often vie for attention with actual post content.
Can I propose that those nice people who provide (code) this forum might introduce a 'show/hide' toggle button in each post, set to 'hide' by default, so that the reader can consult the signature information when desired but can by default concentrate on scanning the actual meat and potatoes of the posts without the salad.
Just a thought.
