Yeah, for the ongoing health and survival of Cakewalk, I think we are way better off under Gibson than we would have been under Roland, given their current situation. The other thing is that Gibson is as American brand and so is Cakewalk. It just feels like a better fit to me.

bvideo Roland and accordions in Italy.
Interesting.. Heh, I was one of those kid in the 60's, at music school, in an accordion band. Still have some old state fair competition medals laying around somewhere. The weight of those things would qualify as child-abuse, these days.

I was one of those as well...I also had to play for the dancing fools at the synagogue...my recollection is that those were 8-hour sessions with one bathroom break (and one back-break)

Companies will branch out into new things, some succeed, and some do not. The one thing I always found interesting but never researched was Yamaha... I always wondered how a music company decided, "Hey... let's build motorcycles!" Roland has built some great stuff over the years, so is sort of sad to see this happening. I am a real fan of their V-drums myself.

Are you implying that CW shopped themselves around to leave Roland? Looks like the cake shop just got lucky Gibson came a knocking.
