X3c?

Among the plug-in fixes:
X3c Update
  • Fixed compatibility issues with Pod Farm 2.55

When any plugin is installed you're usually asked where you want the plugin dll to go.
Then Sonar needs to be told to search that folder for the dll.
This is not the pod farm program folder.
If you didn't pick a folder perhaps it's gone into,
C:/program files/Steinberg or
C:/program files x86/Steinberg

Because VST is invented by Steinberg.
Cakewalk's default VST folders are
C:/program files/cakewalk/VST plugins or
C:/program files x86/cakewalk/vst plugins/

Thanks Steven ! appreciated

X3c yes, but could not get POD farm installed before, must be the PODFarm files are not in the right folder order breakdown. I can open it, but then it's all empty, all the PODFarm functions show as induvidial VSTs.

Thanks anyway for you reply.

Are you using the latest version of line 6 monkey for your installation? Also make sure any line 6 pod isn't connected while doing the installation.

thanks Mike, had run the latest Line6 Monkey, all showed ok there...
As I get POD Farm in Sonar, but not complete and all functions as seperate VST's, thought it must be the folders and files are not in correct order...

thanks for reply !

I recall something about POD Farm putting plug-ins in specific folders. Find those folders, and include them in the VST scan.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

This is from the POD Farm installation instructions - don't know if this helps, but here it is:

Default installation and Tone folder locations:
----------------------------------------------
• This version of the POD Farm software installs to:
Program Files (x86)\Line6\POD Farm 2
• The default location for Tone files is:
My Documents\Line 6\Tones\POD Farm 2.

64-Bit Plug-In Operation:
---------------------
By default, all POD Farm version 2.5 VST® Plug-Ins are installed within
Program Files (x86)\Line6\POD Farm 2\VST\Line 6.

****************
The POD Farm installer puts the 32 bit & 64 bit VST files in the same location.
I like to keep my 32 & 64 bit VSTs separate.
On my system rather than adding the Line 6 default paths to my scan folder list - I instead move the VST dlls to a subfolder of my choice that is located in my VST scan folder search path.
****************

I've got the POD Farm (version 1.x I think) under Sonar X1.

A few things that help me when mine acts up:
1.  Make sure it works as a standalone Podfarm application
2.  Sometimes I have to start it up outside of Sonar to get the device registration to take hold.  Even though the plugin shows that it is registered to my UX2 device, it will sometimes not play any presets back until after I load it outside of Sonar.

I doubt this will help, but hopefully it will.
