Overclocking / reformatting

Hi all.

I think I'm right in saying that reformatting my hard drive won't have any impact on my overclocked system, as all this information is written in the BIOS yes?

My computer was overclocked by Carillon audio, here in the UK

It is most likely that he overclocked it in the bios, but there is a possibility that he used a windows program to do the overclocking. I got better results on my last mobo with a windows program because any OC in the bios would disable duel channel ram optimization. If you can still consult Carillon audio to ask them, I would.

I've had a reply from Carillon, and they told me it was all done in the BIOS, as software based overclocking can cause problems with low latency performance.
