EQ Analyzer
I have X3 Studio so I don't have the flyout Quadcurve analyzer that comes with Producer's Pro Channel. The ProChannel EQ is nice but I like to see the frequencies visually as I make adjustments. My question is can someone recommend a good/free EQ analyzer that they use or may have tried? I actually like the one that comes in Izotope products but want to see what other people are using. I looked through all the Blue Tubes EQs and although I like them all, none of them showed a spectrum analyzer. I know I can google it like it's hot but I like to get ideas on what others are using. Thanks

Voxengo SPAN was my default analyzer until X3. The flyout PC EQ is so useful, and saves so much time, that you may want to seriously consider upgrading to the full version of X3.

Yeah SPAN is great....the Quadcurve one is fantastic and it's getting a lot of use out of me, but if you want something that's configurable and a lot more flexible then SPAN is the way to go.

I have to agree with this. Span is still very useful. Also there the free Melda bundle that comes with a very nice analyzer and other stuff as well.

I agree with others here...
Unless you have need of more personal control of the analyzer, I think your money would be best spent by upgrading to X3 Producer... I think you'll get far more in the long run...

Thanks for all the quick replies. I cant wait to get home and try Span. I am just getting back into home recording after a long hiatus. In the past I had hundreds of plugins from various sources, I can remember TubeBaby, DigitialPhishPhones, etc. Since upgrading to X3 and upgrading PC to 64 bit, I have just used the included Sonar plugs and Izotope Trash and haven't needed anything else until now. Goes to show how much they have improved the product and its included tools.
