Drive trans rates and installing x3 using 3 drives

so just a quick little question. is there a big change from DTRates when installing sonar compleatly on D drive im running a ssd for my os and a WD  sata3 2 TB that has sonar and all my librarys.anyone have input on where to save projects as i hve 3 drives, but wonder is this would be bad for sonar. with
 driveC OS
 driveD Sonar
 driveE projects
 is there any issue with this since sonar would be runing of D and writing to and from E, just want to know if this is a sound setup>

    Baa baa blacksheep! The way you have it setup will work just fine. But a BETTER way would be to install SONAR on the SSD with the OS. There's no way I would NOT have SONAR on the SSD!!  Put your Cakewalk Projects & Cakewalk Content folders on one of the hard drives and your sample libraries on the other hard drive. One of the sections in Preferences will allow you to link the two Cakewalk folders to the application. Of course, the BEST way is to put them all on separate SSD drives, but who can afford that scenario?!!

    If you're a heavy sample user, I'd try to put as many of your samples as you can on your SSD.
     
    It makes a huge difference, especially when loading sample sets like a drum set.

    i had 2 crutial ssd drives in a raid 1 and sonar with all the librarys. it was beast for 1 year then one day died. thank the gods i had all sonar Project files in D. but i was wondering how or if trasfer rate with 2 drives would be  better on larger projects.
    so far i ran a 32 track 6 synth project and it was fine, but my mouse flickers when on the master buss,DONT KNOW WHY.
    but honestly im nit pickin since sonar is running good. and i have only had a few isssue.just  wonder if it would be worth the new install. and sometime installing is a art of its own, i would live to see the 100 of ways folks have done it with sonar.

    The setup Titetrax mentioned is the usual and a really good setup to use.
     
    Install the Operating System (OS) and SONAR on the C (SSD) drive, Cakewalk Projects and Content folder on another drive, and Samples on another separate drive.
     
    It is also a good idea to get a good backup and restore program, such as Acronis True Image to backup your C drive (in case the SSD fails or goes dead.) You can put the backup image on any of the drives that doesn't have the OS installed on it. And it's a really good practice to turn System Restore on for the C drive.
