"Out of Memory" Error Msg
So, I created a template where I import a wav file backing track that I created in X3. I'm trying to import the wav file, but everytime I do, I get a "Out of memory" error msg. I rebooted PC, but that didn't help. WHAT on earth is going on? KC

Is there any special data attached to the file? Some MP3 files won't load if they have extra information embedded in the file (not saying you are importing a MP3 but the theory is the same). Another problem could be the bit rate of the file. Grum. Edit: Having read your post again I can't understand why you can't import a file exported from X3. If it made it it should play it.

Out of Memory Error
The information in this article applies to:SONAR (All SONAR Family Products)Music Creator (All Versions)Guitar Tracks (All Versions)Error: "Out of Memory" This can be caused by several things:1) This error is typically received when attempting to apply an effect. This issue is caused when Windows registry information regarding a specific effect gets corrupted. Reinstalling the effect should resolve the issue. 2) This issue can sometimes occur when video resources are low.Close any extra views which are open and shut off any programs running in the background. In the case of a resource leak, you should should update your video card drivers, as well.3) This can be caused when the file being imported is corrupted or write protected. Many audio files ripped from CD using media players like itunes or Windows Media Player will encode them as protected files. These files cannot be edited in any way and will cause an error during import. Are you able to import other audio files? Try opening the audio file in another program to ensure it is notcorrupted.4) Finally, if all of the above check out, uncheck 64-bit double precision engine under Options | Audio if you have SONAR 5 or later. Assuming you are not out of memory or disk space try opening up the WAV file in an editor like Audacity and saving it, them importing it again.

Thanks for all the tips Grum. I somehow fixed that problem. Now I have a MUCH WORSE problem. Now the metronome/clock is going out of sync within 4 bars of starting. I converted about 12 MIDI tracks to audio. 4 were "manually" recorded from my external keyboard sounds, and the rest were from SampleTank. I have my ASIO driver sync'ed up to "Audio", as opposed to Internal, or MIDI. That's how I've always done it. I'm posting this separate issue as a separate post.
