did anyone here ever work in the warehouse district??
seedy waterfront? street gangs?? thugs muggers pickpockets? red light districts with wanton women?? boarded up businesses? recording studios??

Yes. Worked in a sign factory around the corner from Swindon's then-notorious Manchester Road in the late '80's. Sometimes we'd work late into the night to get a job done and occasionally one or two 'ladies' would knock the door to come in to get warm for a while before going back to 'business'.
