are there any tutorials on how to edit in TTS-1.......how do you make a Vibratto or the EQ stick ? during playback setting this will stay until you stop playback and start again it resets itself. some automations FX etc will stay but ones like Vibrato etc will not also when i turn TTS EQ button on it Mutes the sound..I dont fully understand envelopes  , a step by step guide on how to do this would be helpful..

You have to write your changes to a User Bank once you have finished editing. What is likely happening is that the patch is being reset when you restart the song. If you are selecting your presets from the Track Inspector > MIDI Tab which contains the Channel, Bank and Patch drop down menus (underneath the FX bin), once you restart the song, it will reset the patch to it's default.

When you edit a patch , next to the preview button in the edit window you will see a button labelled "Write". This will allow you to write the edited patch to memory. Double clicking on the name will allow you to rename the patch.
Once you have finished all your edits, click on Write and choose the user bank you want to store the updated sound.

Go back to the Track Inspector and choose the Bank you wrote your patch to. Then select the edited patch from the patch listing. If you renamed that patch, the patch list for the bank you saved to would have been automatically updated with the new name.

Note also that manual tweaks of some controls is due to Zero Controllers When Play Stops setting in Preferences > Project > MIDI. You can disable this, but the better approach is to set an initial value in the track header or Inspector if possible (i.e. MIDI Volume CC7, Pan CC10, Reverb CC91 and Chorus CC93) or place the corresponding Continuous Controller messages in the track or use MIDI automation envelopes for these or other controllers like Vibrato Rate/Depth/Delay. The Patch/Controller Searchback setting the same place  as Zero Controllers ensures that SONAR will find the most recent setting, and send that value when playback is started anywhere in the project.

Patches going silent when EQ is enabled is a bug that has never been fixed. For this and other reasons, I have to say TTS-1 is not worth spending too much time learning. It's handy for sketching ideas but is well past its prime as a serious sound source for final production.

when I used to use TTs-1 in the music creator 4 I used to have I was able to set envelopes for those fx . but I cant seem to figure it out in Sonar X3 Producer..in MC4 the EQ bug wasn't there of course with Sonar X3 I wouldn't need the TTS-1 EQ..Your replys are helpful and eventually I'll figure it out....even if I never use it Id still like to no how to navigate it and use it for whatever purpose. X3 is different than X1, X2. A lot of the video tutorials Id try to follow step by step but would get stuck guessing because some navigation is different ..I find myself right clicking a lot just to see what happens ???

I really don't care where the vibrato comes from just as long as I can get it . any tips on putting vibrato in a string section ,track or individual midi note , from anywhere in Sonar x3 producer is helpful....after using analog equipment for 20 some odd years , trying to learn the software navigation can be very frustrating !

The way you add an automation envelope in X-series SONAR is by using the Edit Filter drop-down in the track header (defaults to "Clips"). To create an envelope to control vibrato on a track pointing at TTS-1, you would choose: Automation > MIDI > CC 76/77/78 (separate controllers for Rate/Depth/Delay).
