What do you think about the Waves Renaissance Maxx Bundle?
Hi folk, As you might have know CW is offering Waves Renaissance Maxx Bundle for 199. Does anyone have any experience or feedback on this product? I am looking into it. Demo is available at Wave's website. I have tried the Renaissance reverb on my true piano and I dropped my jaw. No manner what I do to it the reverb is just sounded stunning.

Same here. Bought it in May or so for the same price when Waves was having a sale. Great value. Actually think RVerb is one of the least interesting ones!

I've always been interested in how much better Renaissance Bass is than MaxxBass (currently on sale for $49 btw), but I don't want to buy the bundle because I already have the compressors (Renaissance Ax is great) and the EQs as part of the Gold bundle. I guess it's $75 on its own....I wouldn't buy it unless it was on sale though.

I've got too many plugins already... Overloaded with plugsins, trying to get rid of the ones I don't use (I believe less is more, the only plugins I bought were the overloud bundle and melodyne, otherwise I've been collecting them from X1 Pro onwards, where there's been a gap I've managed to get a free plugin to fill it).

I'm more or less in Tthe same boat as CakeAlexS. I'm pretty happy with what I have in the plug ins I own. Even $199 seems like a lot for a perhaps slightly better version of something I already have. But I've downloaded the demo from Waves anyway. We'll see.

I'm not buying another plugin unless it truly does something the ones I have already don't do. If I can't get the sound I want with all the crap I have then the problem is likely me. Cakewalk comes bundled with about 10 eq's if you count the ones part of strips. Throw in third party and I have about 20 eq. Same deal with compressors. I'm going over some of the old ones and dsicovering the stuff I did not know. If I come across an intruiging freebie I will try but I even hesitate to do that becaise I find a lot of different but not necessarily better.

Thank You every one for sharing. I also felt that X3 have plenty of plugins and I have not even coming close to mastering half of them. I am now demoing C2Audio breeze reverb. It is a class above the Wave reverb. It seems that I perfect fit with my piano vst especially Truepiano.

Does anyone know if the IR-L Convolution Reverb included in the bundle is zero latency? If it is, it would make this pack particularly interesting to me, as I've been looking to buy a zero latency convolution reverb anyway.

Is there such a think as a zero latency convolution plug?

I have tried a demo if the IR -L Convolution. But it also have 3-4 presets IR and I couldn't do anything else with it. X3 bundled perfect space is better sounding IMHO.

There is a 5GB library with it that's downloadable for any Waves customer. It covers a wide range of spaces and sounds excellent. Oh and IR-L has a fixed latency of 11.6 ms I think that's automatically compensated for by Sonar.

I had the exact same question and did some searches. Several of the mclaim to be zern latencey, although i am sure "extremely low latency" is more accurate.

There was a time when nearly all I used were the Ren series. The RenComp, RenEQ, and RenVerb were my go-to plugs. Now, there's already so much inside SONAR that can do my bread and butter stuff. I like the idea of a steamlined toolbag that has a little more futureproofing in it, and since most of it is folded into the Pro-Channel my preset library is making my feng shui shift way more towards "less is more". The plugs are awesome, don't get me wrong, but there is something that comes default with X3 that matches all of those.

I almost never feel the need to use RenEQ or RenVerb. But I haven't found anything that matches RComp soundwise or feature wise in the tools included in Sonar. RVox is simple but very good and useful, and I much prefer IR-L over Sonar's verbs for realistic spaces and room placement (although I never had any good libraries for Perfect Space). Also, afaik there is nothing like RBass in Sonar, even if I don't use it quite that much. Just my opinion of course, but I definitely think there is great value there, even for Producer customers.
