Obi, I don't own ST. But from what I understand, I get ST XT 2.5 (with 1gb of sounds?) when I buy a XT pack. Am I correct?

And then is this 64bit plugs? And if I buy now will I be able to use these xpansion packs when the new ST comes out?

Yes that is correct. They are using the SampleTank player which is 32bit only at this point. SampleTank 3 will be our 64 bit answer to our Virtual Instrument libraries.

I am trying very hard to stay all 64bit. If I buy this now will I get any sort of path to upgrade (inexpensively or free) to 64bit libraries if I buy ST3? Or will I have to, as it were, start over with ST3 if I want to go all 64 ?
I realize it is what it is but I'd like to know before I decide if I want to buy this. Thanks Obi...
