30 Pieces Of Silver
Just wanted to get something started for the holidays, so I started this piece and I'm not sure what else it needs. If you have any ideas, let me know your thoughts. It maybe all right as is, but seems to maybe need some additional instrumentation bits added. Tell me your thoughts, I'd like to finish this before the first of the year. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12583153 "30 Pieces Of Silver" Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and have a great weekend. Peace and Blessings, John

Robbie, Thanks for listening and for your comments, you know they are always appreciated. He sold Him out hoping he could get a revolution going against the Romans with Barabbas and the Lord would use His miraculous powers. OH! Back fired!! Judas was actually a common name back in those days, dreadful! Good luck on the new song and the classics, I know you will have fun, what ever they are. Look forward to hearing them. Happy turkey day!! Peace and Blessings, John

Very dramatic piece John. This is all put together from Sonicfire loops I imagine?

James, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated. Yes, I used Smart Sound loops and samples to create this piece, from several different libraries that I own. I did use Sonicfire Pro 5 to put it all on several tracks to create the piece you listened to. They are having a sale for black Friday and I can get 15 discs for only $399.00, where one disc usually cost $99.00, so I'm thinking I just might get the discs I've been wanting for a couple of years now, while the getting price is good. I always do the final mastering in Ozone Pro 5, which you can purchase for $900.00 from Izotope. Yes, the piece is quite dramatic, for sure. Hope you enjoyed it. Your imagination did not steer you wrong. Peace and Blessings, John

Very moving piece, John. I love all the percussion and dissonant tones going on in this. The peaceful part with the singing in the middle threw me for a loop. I wasn't expecting that. Nice! Then right back into the rhythm of discontent. I love the crescendo, building with intensity until the very end. This was excellent, John! Nice job!

A very dramatic piece John with a lot of sounds that to me create different emotional responses. I think that you have shown how a story can be told with out lyrics using just instrumentation. The best part of this technique is that the listener can use their own imagination to fill in the blanks and take the story to where they would like. Very nice indeed!!!

Bob, Thanks for listening and for the nice comments, they are always appreciated. It was fun putting this piece together and I try to let your mind paint the picture, based on my little comment under each player, that comes up. I'm guessing that most people think it is done, because I haven't heard otherwise. Glad you enjoyed this one. Peace and Blessings, John

John, it's too bad that you didn't get to work for Cecil B DeMille (but, you'd be pretty old by now). You could be one of Hollywood's brightest stars with music like this.

Freddy, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated. Let's just say it's a painting on a piece of sheet music. Lynn, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always appreciated. Don't think I am any Hollywood bright star, nor do I think I could be a Cecil B. DeMille music production expert. I just arrange loops and sample to what my liking is, going for the big sound and trying to fit everything to my messages for the Lord. It's not about me, it's for Him and His glory, I'm just one of many vessels. I am glad you enjoy this piece though and thanks again for your thoughts, I'll pass that on. Peace and Blessings, John

Sounds Hollywood ! I like it,its dark, menacing and the samples work great together, especially the voice, that section is beautiful. My only crit is that the instruments at the beginning feel too dry and like everything is pushed to the front.A bit of verb and delay would create some distance between the instruments and give the mix a front and back. The rest of the track works great.Good work Kev

rebel1007, Thanks for listening and for your comments. I don't write music, I use loops and samples and I guess according to some am quite good at arranging them to create a complete piece that sound good to my ears and then share with others who are interested in listening. Some of my pieces I also do play some keyboards and guitars, but not all. I do this to get out my messages, which you can find on the Music Page of my soundclick site. But, thanks you for your comments and for enjoying my work. Peace and Blessings,John Chas, Thanks man, appreciate your listening and glad you enjoyed this one. My latest Christmas present was400.00 more in loops and samples, some really nice stuff to come in 2014. Peace and Blessings, John
