Kontakt and Kontakt Player - Solved

Kontakt is more than I realized so please ignore this post.  Thanks.

Newb trying to understand value/use of Kontakt synth.  Is it better for a rookie to stick with Sonar X synths for loops and samples do you think?  Thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Kontakt is far more extensive then those included with the X Series
and there is far more and better add ons available for it.

I recommend going to YouTube and looking at some of the tutorials.

The ones included in X are good...just not as extensible...

Well, if you're a newb, you might not want to get into Kontakt quite yet - if you're mainly doing loops and one-shot samples.

Although it can be used for single samples; it's main use is as a player for complete multi-sampled instruments. The Free player will work with instruments - the paid version will allow you to create your own instrument and libraries.
