Is Addictive Keys supposed to be packaged with Platinum?

Sonar Platinum, HP Z210 Desktop PC,  Windows 10  64 Bit, 12  GB RAM,  Steinberg UR22 Interface Unit,  M-Audio Keyboard Studio USB MIDI Keyboard, APEX-TK -Condenser Unidirectional MIC, Audio Technica AT2020 USB MIC

    Yes. 

    However, it's the actual instruments (Modern Upright, Studio Grand, Electric grand or Mark One) themselves that you need to purchase.

    Of course, there seems little point installing Addictive Keys if you have not purchased any of the Addictive instruments.

    Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram . 
    PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
    CPU: i5 4670. 
    Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
    Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

    Internet always on.

    Software    : Cakewalk by Bandlab (2018.09 B29)
    ASIO mode. 24bit 48khz 256 samples 
    Rapture Pro, AAS GS2, VS-3, EP-4, VA-2, Chromophone 2, Z3TA+ 2, Addictive drums 2, Addictive Keys, Mpowersynth (latest), Iris 2, GPO5, Sampletank 3,

    On my XLN installer, which came with Addictive drums 2 as supplied as part of Sonar Platinum, also allows me to download Addictive Keys (albeit without any of the XLN piano instruments)

    I think the intent of the question was about having Addictive Keys, not downloading a host program for which you had to purchase instruments. I'm not sure Addictive Keys without any instruments qualifies as being Addictive Keys.

    The only exception is that, if I remember correctly, if some customers had AD2 already, on a one by one basis, XLN allowed a customer or two to trade out their AD2 license for Addictive Keys.
    That was done by XLN though.

    Isn't there a sort of free version, that you can access with the downloader.

    The free version is 4 octave. Kind of like a demo.
