Waves Vocal Rider crashing X2 & X3C

I picked up Vocal Rider and Bass Rider during the Black Friday sale. I tried to take Vocal Rider for a spin today but it continues to crash X2 (build 308) as a vst 2 & X3C in both vst 2 and vst 3 modes. Both X2 and X3 created reports and I sent them in. I haven't received the Bass Rider registration yet but I'll give it a go when I get a chance. I've had issues with Waves V9 plugs in the past and ended up going back to V8 after many attempts to resolve the problem. Anyone else having these issues?

Doesn't happen for me. Anything specific that's causing it to?

    Rocky,
I just picked up Vocal Rider as well during the Black Friday sale.  No problems.  I am running X3 64-bit.  Also have Wave Platinum V9 and a number of other random Waves plugs and am not having any issues.  That said, if you co-mingle Waves plugs in the Cakewalk VST Default directory you will have problems.   I had issues with Waves V7 until moving all Waves Plugs to their own separate directory.  Then added the new directory to the VST search folders and re-scanned.  Problems went away immediately.

See this recent link, scroll to post #20.   This user was having a CLSID mis-match error, which I also had in the above scenario, as well as the crashing.   If you don't have your Waves Plugs in their own separate directory, try it and it may resolve the problems.  Hope this helps.

Thanks Mark, I'll give that a try.
