Track Lanes Not Muted

Another issue I had today is with previously recorded track in the same track (i.e. track lane).  In the past, they were muted by default during playback.  Only the latest track would be heard.  However, it seems today, I was getting the previously recorded takes playing simultaneously with the latest take.  It seems there should be a simple fix to that.  But I am puzzled as to why this suddenly happened when it didn't before.

Check your record mode, I believe you want it set to comp mode to mute previous takes.

Thanks.  It was set on "overwrite".
