Looks like the links got lost. Might want to email CW support or PM one of the staff.

Edit: I sent a PM to Ryan.

I reached out to support but never heard back. Perhaps there is a conspiracy, anyone from CW know what happened to the presets?

Yes, I would prefer the explanation come directly from Ryan. I added a link to this thread in the PM exchange.

Hi Guys,

I got your PMs. Sorry for the delay, I've been slammed.

We pulled the preset zone because it wasn't really being utilized widely and we received reports of compatibility issues with different versions of SONAR (X1 Expanded, X2, X3, etc.). Some of these came in direct through email support, some through our fault reporting since it was causing instability. Ultimately we'd rather maintain content that we've tested versus providing content that isn't. Sadly it was causing problems for a lot of people despite the good intentions.

Also, from a security stand-point, some people were uploading some odd stuff to the page which caused our web guys to yank the page with higher priority then usual.

There was an issue with the presets and X3. We would like to revamp these with some new ones that are optimized for X3 so we'll be working on that for the beginning of the year. Apologies for pulling that but it needed some updating.

Very nice explanation Andrew. I was wondering when those weird posts on the Preset Zone would be removed. I didn't expect for the whole thing to be removed. Now it all makes sense.

I agree, nice explanation, thanks for the update. Still sad because I had used some of them and found them to be great starting points.

No problem, Ryan. We understand the Apple acquisition is taking up a lot of time for everyone.

PC presets are one of the greatest features because they are the only true way to change a predefined track.
Using a template means you have to start from scratch, using a PC preset allows you to take existing tracks and turn them in to something different.

Im still waiting for my feature request to be filled:
Allow us to use Track templates on existing tracks.
