I don't get a buzzing sound with the 64 bit precision engine turned on and the CE's sound fine.

Beep, I think the affected crowd is bigger than you think. They are just quite. 😊
I am still on b and have never installed c because of the problems that came to light. Most all of my tracks are mono. And a lot of them use the EQ, CE, and of course, the DPE.
So I just skipped the patch. The only thing that has affected me now is the TS buzz. But I work around it for now.
But I'm cutting the bakers some slack because they were on this thing from the moment of release, and stayed with it till c came out. Even then staying with it, but not as much.
They deserve a break. Let them have it. They will get it out soon enough.

They finally fixed the scrolling and autoload bugs but then broke it in a worse way. I depend on the playlist and that's a major reason I upgraded. So I guess it will be another few years before these bugs are fixed.

Andrew Rossa [Cakewalk] This will be fixed with SONAR X3d.
how many more patches ? other vendors I use don't have such issues... this is the main reason I haven't upgraded to x3.. If you lot are gonna charge for a years usage.. then I expect that, not the majority of it being months of bug fixes.. or stuff from previous versions that was / has been conveniently forgotten and not addressed in the next version.

Really? I suggest giving Microsoft a call and ask them for a refund for their Windows product. Tell them to disable Windows update service and stop sending us bug fixes every month because it should have been bug free in the first place ;) They are still fixing XP BTW. "If you lot are gonna charge for a years usage.. then I expect that, not the majority of it being months of bug fixes.. " ?????? What exactly is stopping you from recording? What specific issues might you be having that stops you from doing this? TS Every DAW has issues and patches, and issues, and patches, and so on http://download.steinberg.net/downloads_software/Cubase_6_and_Cubase_Artist_6/6.0.7/VersionHistory_IssuesSolutions.pdf
Exactly, and I'd extend this.... All software has issues and patches, and issues, and patches, and so on? Where have you been Fog? Disneyland? Where people never get divorced and cars never break down? And Cakewalk are putting bugfixes into X3 THE MAIN REASON WHY I UPGRADED TO X3. Yes X2 was handled badly, X3 not so. Please move on.
