Midi Controllers [Solved]

Is it possible to have all midi controllers available in the drop down list in automation lanes. ie. including unused ones ????/

Roy, I'm a little confused by your question.

On a Midi Track, you can specify the midi input as any midi device you want, so you could record midi and then assign the envelop to anything you want.

This is a video that shows how to use a controller to actually control any parameter in the DAW (more or less) using ACT.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thanks Gswitz video is very informative. My problem is with Sampletank WHICH only shows volume pan and 4 macro functions in the automation drop down. Now lets say I want to automate a rotary control in Sampletank, I can hit the control button then the rotary and select for arguments sake control 25 (its unused for anything) but control 25 doesn't show in that drop down list and Sampletank doesn't do midi learn. Now I'd like to be able to use the pitch wheel on my keyboard to control that rotary to add automation. can I do that with act or better.
    Thanks Roy

Roy, are you able to record automation on the parameter without using the controller?
