8 measure Rex files in RXP

Hey,
Does anyone know how to get an 8 bar rex file to play in RXP (sonar 7 version)? At the moment the last couple of measures get to the top of the midi range and it plays the same beat repeatedly.

    how do you get on when you drag drop the midi instead ?
     
    the max slices you can have in a rex/rx2 in 96.. are the bars repeated at points ? if the last bit is repeated, you'd be better off just repasting an earlier bar.
     
    have you changed octave preference in general options to +1 or -1 .. that might be causing an issue perhaps.

    Thanks for the reply. I've only used the drag drop method to place the files.
    The files are non repeating 8 bar patterns. It works fine if I just repeat part of the file but that rather defeats the object.
    I checked the base octave for pitches setting which was at 0. I've dropped it 3 octaves but the midi notes still reach G7 half way through the 6th bar and all the following notes are pushed onto G7, which doesn't sound great. 
    Transposing it down an octave just changes the pitch, it doesn't move the midi notes.
