Install/Removal process going from X2 Producer to X3 Producer upgrade

Does X2 need to be present/installed on my PC in order to install the X3 upgrade?

I have all my X3 serials numbers via Email and my Account.  I typically like to do clean installs when moving from one version to another so I remove the old version first, then install the new version.  Will this approach work?

Thanks, Rob.

The X3 producer upgrade is a complete version. Like every recent release of SONAR, some plug-ins have been dropped and are not included in X3. Most plug-ins can be installed from previous versions by running an advanced install and selecting the plug-ins to install. V-Vocal is an exception. Starting with X3, V-Vocal is no longer a part of SONAR. Unlike R-Mix or the other plug-ins discontinued in X3, V-Vocal is not a separately installable plug-in. If you want V-Vocal in X3, you will either need to leave the current X2 installation in place or perform a minimum install of X2 using the advanced install.

Excellent, thank you.  Is there a list of what plug-ins were dropped vs. new plug-ins?

    Thanks, Rob.

Not that I am aware of. It should not be hard to make one up by comparing the "Included plug-ins" Section of the help files. Personally, I do not remove old version SONAR so it is not an issue.
