not possible to show layers or do other functions on archived tracks

One use for archived tracks is as a kind of store of takes or other track ideas.  In this case, it is useful to be able to see the track layers or lanes to be able to retrieve some of those archived takes.  In previous versions it was possible to show the track lanes or layers, but in the current version of X3 it is not. 
 
There are also other reasons for showing lanes in an archived track, for example, to remember something, to look at and/or retrieve clip-based effects, to remove or add clips to selection groups, etc.
 
It's also impossible to unmute an archived track in X3 while it was possible previously.  This is obnoxious because of course I often archive tracks which I have previously muted, archival being a kind of next step after muting, and then the global "mute all tracks" button is lit, and if the track is in a folder, for example, the folder shows some tracks muted, which can be confusing if it also holds non-archived tracks.
