Sometimes Step Sequencer Patterns Don't Play

Hello,

Has anyone ever played a track (usually in the middle of a step sequencer pattern), and it just doesn't play it, or it plays it then stops playing it even though its stretched out to the area you are currently in?   Seems like only if I bounce it to regular midi notes, then i can get them all to play.

Almost feels like a bizzare memory or application issue.

Thanks,
Adam

May be affected by the "Prepare using nnn milliseconds buffer" setting in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording. If using the default 250, try 500 or 750.

This can impact random midi notes in addition to Step Seq clips, can't it, Scook?

I think I remember a case where sometimes certain midi notes wouldn't play for me but not all the time.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

A symptom of too small a buffer is dropped MIDI notes. Dropped notes may not happen consistently. IDK, if the buffer is the problem here but it would be something to check.
