New Hornet SW34EQ
http://www.hornetplugins.com/plugins/hornet-sw34eq/The HoRNet SW34EQ is an equalizer coming straight from the 80s. It's the digital version of the EQ found in an American console and it features the typical analog EQ sound and controls. This plugin is specifically modeled after one channel of this console used in the main room of Virus Studio, here in Siena, Italy. This EQ is very smooth and gentle, both in the EQ shapes (bells and shelves) and it's almost perfect for general tone shaping, especially the low shelf gives weight to the sound without pumping it too much. You also get an high-pass filter at 40Hz with 18dB/oct slope that can be activated even if the rest of the EQ is not.

This is modeled after a Otari Soundworkshop 34b Series. It might be a nice little plugin, but I'll wait for a sale to.

Your right Eddie! I just bought two Hornet plugins and a ton of other stuff...so I'm afraid I'll have to wait a bit. $24 bucks for a useful EQ is a steal.

Unless you already have a boatload of useful EQs and know how to use them, in which case it's the same as using a twenty and four ones to light a fire.

Hahaha! I have lit a few fires. I bought autogain during the black friday sales it may be good for something someday. I also bought trackshaper. That will go into the wasted money catagory.

I did the same thing, Clint. I reckon I just helped a new dev get started, with a contribution comparable to a tip after a nice meal. The recent Nomad Factory Cosmos purchase falls under a similar justification. But I ain't buying any more EQs unless the proceeds are going to feed starving puppies.

Yeah, I don't mind helping Hornet, he seems like a good guy. I really only ever use Pro-Q. It's great for everything. If the new Quad curve had mid/side processing I would use it more. I do like Cosmos. I don't have anything like it though, you probably have a few exciters. That one knob helps my guitar tracks quite a bit.

Oh OK, never heard of that one - I do have the Channel Strip which I like and use quite a bit. Just had a look at Trackshaper and don't think this is for me though. Will love to hear about the new EQ when people have used it for a while Nigel
