Getting Studio Instruments to Work

Simple question...How on EARTH do I get ANY of the SI modules to work?  I tried loading some of the Progs in the Cakewalk Sound Center folder, but get an error everytime.  I know it SHOULD be a simple task, BUT...

We may be able to help if we knew a little more about what is happening. What are your exact steps and what error(s) are you getting? :)

Steam related install issues are better handled at the Steam Community http://steamcommunity.com/app/346590/discussions/.  WRT Addictive Drums, again Steam may be different but when SONAR is purchased through other channels Addictive Drums has a completely separate install process using an installer provided by XLN Audio. It is necessary to create an account on their site and download their installer in order to use Addictive Drums.

edit: Follow the link in the message below. Don't know why I was thinking about MC7, when you need the SONAR link. - sc

See the stickies on the Steam Sonar Forum - http://steamcommunity.com/app/293140/discussions/
(Scooks points to MC7 - still can be of relevance)

    1. Reverify your Sonar Application cache - it'll redownload/install discrepancies
Library > Sonar (right-click) > Properties > Local Files (tab) > Verify Integrity of Application Cache

    2. AD2 is indeed an external install from XLN. Create an account and use your 'key' from your Library > Sonar > CD Key page

Hah, I had MC7 on my mind for some reason. Yes, the SONAR Community site makes much more sense. Thanks for posting. I, like many here, have to guess about Stream related issues which is why I try to get Steam users over to the Steam Community sites for these types of problems.

Yup - that should be the first port of call  ... and Seth Kellogg does a stirling job / liaison on the Steam side of things.

I also have my feet in both camps, but do like to keep Steam only for games and their installs/downloads. For all my DAW stuff, I prefer to get it from either Cake or another dedicated vendor of DAW software.
