Converting Midi files to Wave files

Hello just purchased the V-Studio 100. I'm trying to convert midi files to wave file, is this possible with the software that was included in the vs100 production pack I installed? I appreciate any help, Thanks

    Quick Answer?  Yes.
However, it is not a simple load .MID file, click Save As and select .WAV, and there are much easier ways of doing it that with the software supplied with a VS-100.
The way you asked the question suggests that you are a beginner to this world of Audio Workstations.

The link doesn't seem to work (although it previews fine - what is the point of a preview that doesn't preview? but I digress), but this is the URL that I was trying to link to -

When I select "save as" it doesn't give me the option to save as a wave file, only template, cakewalk bundle or midi no wave to select.

It is possible to convert a midi track to a wave file with the software included with the VS-100.

You will need to load a virtual instrument, such as Dimension LE, and have the midi track drive the soft synth for audio. You should be able to do that with a simple instrument track. Load Dimension and then choose what sound you are looking for and load it, such as a piano or strings. After inserting the vsti, select the track and Import your midi file. You can use Studio Instruments too, included with the VS-100, for drums and bass.

Then, rather than choosing Save As, choose Export. That will allow you to convert the midi to a wave based on the output of the vsti.

It's a lot to learn at first but it will become easier with practice

    Have fun with the VS-100
