Work in Progress: Colourtide new track "SUNLIGHT"
Hi Guys, Many moons ago ( round 2001 ) we - Colourtide - did an album called UNDERWATER. BUT now we are back at it again after these many years. Here is a work in progress called SUNLIGHT. The track is done all in Sonar X3 Producer using some Native Instrument stuff - Additive Drums, Z3TA+2, Massive, RXP 1: soundcloud.com/tidalsound-1/sunlight-with-keys-bass keys and bass are in the first verse at the moment .. as we said its a WIP :D To hear Colourtide back in 2001 just look at the TIDALSOUND soundcloud page and a cover of a BLUE NILE Track called Lets go out tonight - That whole album was also done in Cakewalk way back then :D PS - SORRY links not working for me. If I add a link it just disappears when i save the post ...

I think this song definitely has some possibilities. To me, the drums and vox are about the only things that you can make out in the mix though. I would bring the bring the guitar up, and ant synth you might have on there too. Then we can see where you're at as far as panning and eq as well. And for the bridge part, I would recommended a different drum beat, just because it seems like it needs a less bouncy beat during that part. I think you have a good start going though. Good luck!

Sounds pretty good for an "in progress." Recording sounds good. The snare might be a little weak, but that could be me. Waiting to see how it sounds finished. @

And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

I agree, sounds good so far for a work in progress and so that being said I'll be looking for your finished song to see where it has led you. Good luck and never give up. Peace and Blessings, John Don't forget, once you have listened to 25 total songs of others and made comments your links will show up and work when you post a new thread.

Hey rebel I think you have a keeper here. I would maybe add just a little reverb on the vocal and a very conservative delay on the drum kit. When I say a small delay I mean a very small delay or plate, maybe set it up on a send and tweak it to give the kit a little more space in the mix. You're well on the way though and what you have is good!
