Anyone use this HD washer?

I'm wondering if this is a useful tool that: cleans your hard drive by finding and erasing temporary files leftover by other programs. How much of these "temporary files" are actually left over that cause probelems?

It's freeware info I get from sharewareonsale.com

Do yourself a favor and look for Glary Utilities.  It also has a free version but has been around for a long time and is very highly regarded.  It's what I use on ALL the computers I use or have to maintain for customers.

Thanks CB, I'll check it out.
How much of an imprint do these "temporary files" actually leave on a typical HD?

That obviously depends on what YOU do.  I've had it clean up over a GB before.  After a clean bootup it's been as low as a few MB's.

Anytime you use a disk cleaner..... be very careful.  Some things are best left unscrewed with.  Experience speaking.
