X2 would not recognize Control Surface pre-set created in X3

I have a Korg nanoKontrol.  I set it up in X3 (Cakewalk Generic Surface) and created the "Preset" for the nanoKontrol. 
I copied the file to the same location on the 2nd PC with Sonar X2, but X2 would not recognize it.  I tried importing the Preset in X2 but it still would not recognize it. 
I finally, had to manually create (and save) a new Preset in X2 for the nanoKontrol. 
 
I would have thought the Presets, for devices such as this, would be the same in both X2 and X3??  What I programmed in X2 is exactly the same as I programmed in X3.
