New PC and X3d

My new PC will be here in a couple of weeks. I'm having it custom built by a company called Cybertron Pc. Just wanted to say what a great company they are. Fantastic service. They warranty parts and labor for 1 year and offer free lifetime tech support. No. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. Just wanted to let others know in case they haven't heard of them before. I shopped everywhere. HP, Dell and several other places and couldn't find a better deal. I upgraded some components. I added 3 1TB SATA Drives and a 600 watt power supply. This PC and X3d seems like it will be a marriage made in heaven.

A fanless graphics card would be better.  One that doesn't use up the space of 2 PCIe slots would be better still.

I hear ya but I've already spent more than I planned on spending. I can always upgrade to a fanless card later.

It wouldn't necessarily cost more.  It may even cost less.

Those big graphics cards with noisy fans are great for gaming, 3D work or video editing, but are unnecessary for most other applications.

Sorry but I am not familiar enough with the current market to give a recommendation.  Maybe someone else can chime in.

Me too, my wife said I have been a good boy this year as instead of having many girl friends, I maintained only 3 hehe ;) For this xmas, although as far as PC, Im just waiting for the C2 stepping Asus deluxe mobos to come to our place before hitting the stores, her xmas gifts to me for being a good boy are
    1. Upgraded my Sonar X2a producer to X3 producer with melodyne 2.0
    2. She also bought me pro tools 11
So to all those who are not good boy's to their wife's, better be hehe

    Geo524,

For me for a graphics card, it's nice to have 2 digital outs. I don't always use 2 monitors, but it can be helpful. I take the bedroom TV for a second monitor on the occasions that I want to use it. I don't have 2 dedicated monitors.

I like the VGA for plugging in my work laptop when I work from home. It's a nice convenience.

    Food for thought.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thanks for the advice gswitz. For now I'm running VGA and HDMI out to 2, 23" HP monitors. I'm trying to talk the Wife into a 2nd flatscreen so I can use the one we have now as a 3rd monitor. It's not working but I ain't giving up just yet.
