Bounce to clips moves clips to different used lane (Sonar X3)

In Sonar X3 I have used v-vocal to edit my clips in take lanes and now I would like to bounce them to clips so they are easier to chop up and move sections around.

When I select the v-vocal clips and its muted counter part underneath it and select bounce to clips it not only moves the clip to another take lane but to a take lane that already has a clip in that section.

Is there a way to force cakewalk to bounce this clip but stay in place or at least move it to an empty take lane in that same time spot?

Also I made a clip recording in a separate track and would like to move it into a take lane in another track so it can benefit from that tracks effect and routing.

I select the track and drag it and drop it onto the take lane and Sonar picks another take lane that is already occupied to move the clip to instead.

How do I fix this so clips move to the take lane I drop it on and a bounced clip moves to an unused take lane?

Thanks in advance peeps if there is a solution for this one.
