will the new modern virtual drum software programs work with my Sonar 3 Producer?

Can anyone tell me if I will have any problems running any of the nice new virtual drum programs (BFD2, Toontrack Superior Drummer, Addictive Drums, etc.) on my Sonar 3 Producer? i haven't decided which one I'm going to purchase yet, there are a lot of choices out there and it's a bit confusing, but I will be leaning towards one of the higher-end products most likely.

I have no particular reason to believe I'll have any problems but wanted to ask just in case since I am using a relatively old version of Sonar.

Thanks!

I think the only way to be sure is try a demo version first. They should work using the VST-adapter, but as there is this "outsider", the adapter, in the picture, it's quite possible that everything doesn't work quite flawlessly.
IIRC I bought Addictive Drums when I was on SONAR PE4, the last version that needed the VST-adapter, and then I could not get all the kitpieces/outputs of AD  to separate audio tracks, because there was some limitation on SONARs side.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

BFD2 ran perfectly on my old system, Sonar 6.2.1 under Windows XP32, but it was a quad core, not a dual core
