Upgrading from Guitar Tracks Pro 4 to Sonar X3 Studio

Hi all,
 
I'm contemplating upgrading my Guitar Tracks Pro 4/UA-1G setup to a Sonar X Studio/M-Audio M-Track Plus setup.
 
 
I'm running Windows 8.1 x64 on a Lenovo ThinkStation Xeon machine with 16GB RAM. I'm aware that M-Audio does not currently have Windows 8.1 drivers for the M-Track Plus.
 
Interface hardware aside, are their any potential problems here? Will Sonar pick up my Guitar Tracks Pro projects correctly? Has anyone else gone this route?

    Well apparently earlier versions of Guitar tracks have been able to pushed into Sonar so it's looking good. Somebody will have to give you a definitive answer on this however...

    Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    Not recently, but I upgraded from GT Pro v.4 to X1 Studio awhile back.  I can load all my old GT Pro projects in X1, X2 and X3.

    Thanks for the replies :) Seems like I can stop fretting (but I won't because I'm a guitarist) about this.

    Go Producer... you're pocket'll feel a bit emptier but that warm feeling will become HOT an' keep you cozy for a loooooong time...

     No problems opening any old GT files here. X3 will open WRK projects started in GT 2.0
