Help on plugin options when installing X3 along side X2

Help on plugin options when installing X3 along side X2

I am in the process of installing X3 and keeping my X2 installation.
 
When choosing VST's and effects I'm not sure about installing the ones I already installed in X2. Is it going to just overwrite the existing ones or leave a copy in both the X2 and X3 folder just taking up space?
 
Is it enough to just check the things new in X3?

    Plugins are shared so it will not take extra space. Also its best to allow it to update since we sometimes fix issues in prior plugins. It will only update if the installer has a newer version.
