Waves Plugin Presets not showing up

Purchased the Waves "Musicians 1" bundle a while ago - I was able to get the diff modules to work as plugins, but there are no Presets.
i moved the Waves "Dll's" to my:
Program Files>>Cakewalk>>Vstplugins>>Waves
folder where all my other VST's are.
[image]M:\Waves File.jpg[/image]
i'm not sure if the image is visible - but it's a listing of the files i have in the folder so I'm listing them, here:
WaveShell-DAE 9.2.dpm
WaveShell-VST 9.2.dll
WaveShell-VST 9.2_x64.dll
WaveShell-VST3 9.2.vst3
WaveShell-VST3 9.2_x64.vst3

maybe i need to point the Plugins Manager to a different folder?

thanks,

the presets live in a different directory. The Presets usually reside in an XPS file. Have you done anything to your WAVES preference folder or files? Look to see that the installed directory for the Waves products has the XPS files in the plugin folder. There is usually a 'preset' folder in the installed directory for the 'Plug-In' product folder. I hope this helps.

With the vst2 versions (The ones that say .dll at the end) the preset picker is not going to expose any presets. This is an issue with the Waves vst2 versions. You must click the [Load] button in the waves GUI to see the presets.

If you use their VST3 versions (The ones that say .vst3 at the end) both the preset dropdown and the [Load] button should expose all the available presets.

The .vst3 files should be placed in Program Files/ Common Files/ VST3 for 64bit and Program Files (86)/ Common Files/ VST3 for 32bit.

Make sure the appropriate scan location is added into Preferences | VST Settings

You can find the VST3 versions then by going to the browser and opening the VST3 folder. If you don't see the VST3 folder in your Browser you may need to set the layout to "Default All Plug-ins" This can be done by using the dropdown next to the "PlugIns" tab.

i've read the above scenarios. let me further explain that when i installed Waves Musician 1, I checked both VST2 and VST3 for load.
NOW when i go into my Plugin Manager (in Sonar) i can see the "Doubler" (and all the Musician 1 plugins) in both the "VST Audio Effects VST" and the "VST3 Audio Effects (VST3).
that being said, i created a new Plug-in Layout file and loaded the two "Doubler2 Stereo" plugins to this Plug-in Layout file with a separator in between. i then went and inserted the plugins on my console, one at a time, and checked to see if the presets were available - in both cases they were not.

i have searched through my C: Drive (where everything is loaded) and there are NO *.XPS files. there are some XPst folders (note the capitalization). should i include these folders in my plugin folders?

Lance, you wrote: " If you don't see the VST3 folder in your Browser you may need to set the layout to "Default All Plug-ins" This can be done by using the dropdown next to the "PlugIns" tab."
i see the plugins, both in the PlugIns Manager and in the browser area of the main screen. it's just when i load them, there are no presets.

When i go to "Load Presets" and i move to where the xpst folders are - there are no FXP files to be had. i've also added those locations (where the Waves "Doubler.Bundle" and others reside - still no luck.

i feel like I'm only one step away from getting the presets to appear - but have not found the right combination, as of yet. Your help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
