"Monoprice" quality worth it?
So hopefully many of you guys have heard about this company, 'Monoprice', who produces obstensibly pretty high-quality products for very cheap... I'm wondering, does anyone own any Monoprice products? I have yet to see anything really bad about their products, and they're so cheap they pretty much seem worth dropping a couple bucks on.

I bought a reticulating dual monitor mount and it's equal to superior in quality than more expensive products that I looked at. I personally, wouldn't think twice about buying any of their products.

I've purchased HDMI cables, Apple iPhone charging cables, and speaker mounts. No complaints here.

I've bought headphones (Many pairs actually) HDMI cables, Monitor mounts, USB cables, USB hubs and some aux cables and all were great for the price.

Wow. Like I said! Have yet to hear any bad reviews, and at their prices… why aren't people pushing them more? I'll be buying some stuff after Christmas. Any details on how their XLR cables work? I have 2 20-footers from Neutrik, but they're CRAP compared to Live Wire, who are quite more expensive… How do they stack up, quality-wise, to Live Wire?

Oh, also: What's the word on... more 'heavy-duty' or ""life-changing"" purchases, like monitors, their mixer, thier midi controller, etc?

So I admittedly am wondering; how do their 600700 SDC pair and 600800 LDC do in the home studio? My brother is planning to purchase two for a podcast we're doing (wanna see our first iteration?), and I wanna know if these things are worth the low cost. I'm getting really comfortable with the 2/3 to 1/2 pricing at Monoprice, and though I have yet to make a purchase, I don't think I'll be so slow to grab some of the stuff I need from there.

My gut tells me that these mics will deliver a level of quality commensurate with their price point. I don't know that you would be disappointed with these, but I also don't know that you would think you got a great deal on these ("Hey these sound like $400 mics, but they cost me $70"). The one thing to understand about Monoprice is that they are not putting the huge mark ups on cables that the big box stores do which is why their prices are so much better than those big box stores. Cables are for the most part, a commodity. The mic market is completely different from the cable market - measurable quality goes up with price. If you do decide to try these out - give us a review.

I'll definitely be grabbed one, and maybe their pair as well. My friend owns an MXL 770, which is the 600800's exact twin… I'll be doing a shootout of those two. Thanks guys, we'll see how everything goes down.

Although I've never used one myself, Monoprice mics alway get a glowing review in "Tape Op" magazine. I think they reviewed some condenser and ribbon mics in the last 3 magazines and said they were outstanding for the money. www.tapeop.com

A friend of mine bought MP's Over-the-Ear Headphones… They are LOVELY for pleasure listening… which makes me wary about any serious studio application. The sound is very clear and the bass extension is wonderful. at $26, I may grab some.
