Notes won't play

When I enter notes into the piano roll, only some notes will sound out, others will pass as if I had not even typed them in. For the drums especially, only the first note will sound out. How can I fix this?
 
I'm using Sonar X1 LE, on a 64 bit windows 8 laptop. Thank you

    Try increasing your playback buffer.
